SPECIFIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES THAT RELATE TO THE ABOVE DEPARTMENT/POSITION: Reconcile budget and maintain financial records for the library/KCMC; pay bills; collect and disperse monies and make deposits; keep an inventory of and order supplies and equipment and other items as needed; file or distribute information electronically or in hard copy; support job searches; communicate with vendors for troubleshooting of various library machines; serve as library contact in the event of director’s absence; contact facilities management about building issues; conduct monthly building safety checks; coordinate library printing; schedule meetings and travel; supervise student workers; coordinate printing for various library publications; and take and distribute minutes as needed. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: In representing the library and the director, the person in this position must possess good oral and written communication skills, accuracy, efficiency, dependability, and attention to detail, as well as be able to work well with a diverse group of people in a friendly, collegial manner. There must be a demonstrated ability to work in an automated environment using the Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to learn other software as needed.
