SPECIFIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES THAT RELATE TO THE ABOVE DEPARTMENT/POSITION: 

Performs skilled, complicated and confidential police work to protect life and property; enforce University regulations, Federal, State, and local laws; and detect and apprehend violators. Work is accomplished within departmental procedures but judgment, initiative, and sensitivity to issues in a higher education environment are required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:  

Police patrol of UMF campus, investigate complaints of crime, provide campus escorts as requested, issue parking tickets, provide security assistance at campus events, and respond to all calls for police/emergency assistance.
